Balance/Moonkin-What is the best factions to gain Rep

Cinematics and RPG’s

I posted this on WOW forums and on General Forums here, but since you are my closest brethren I thought I would ask you opinions on this as well. The one thing I think WOW lacks out of any other MMORPG or RPG is Cinematics. I mean WOW/Blizz does add many things to the gaming mentality and blows all other MMORPGS or RPS’s in my opinion out of the water for many reasons, but where are my beloved cinematics so common in RPGs. With the launch of WOLTK there may be some hidden Gem out there to satisfy the point of this post, but I doubt it. Cinematics to me were always one of the best things ever in a game and at times of completion in game you get an extra sense of “I accomplished this” and here is a visual representation to further satiate and drive your lust for advancement and conquest. With all of the new talk (mostly Ooohs and Aaaahs over the upped textures or whatever they did to make Northrend look so good) on all the work Blizz has spent on WOTLK I am sure I will be happy with my playtime for a good while to come but I thought I would address this now for up and coming expansions which I am sure there will be. Cinematics would be amazing at the end of a dungeon boss and I envision a sweeping camera flying from the beginning of the dungeon past all the dead NPC’s you vanquished ending up at your party (of course wow would calculate the characters and gear in the party in to each video so you actually see you and your party standing over the boss) standing over the end boss as he/she dies dramatically and possibly utters some last words. This would be extra amazing if there were quest line related comments or the like and I could see way more repeat playability on dungeons if you get and end cinematic. Special timed runs could possibly trigger special side videos or maybe specific in dungeon quest progressions would have to be completed in order to cue the cinematic. I have come to the end of more than one dungeon going “Was that it, what happened?” and then running outside with a semi-feeling of gratification without knowing if I left something or someone behind that I should have killed or if I indeed did kill the “Big Baddy.” If the only Cinematic in game is going to be at the end of the game (when eventually the end may or may not happen after some more expansions in the years to come. Rumoured two more after WOLTK from what I have read) I would be sorely disappointed. Hopefully in the next expansion in the years to come (I am sure they will have more to keep us clicking away) Blizz will consider this extra feeling you get after watching a cinematic valuable to their gamers satisfaction. I am sure they can afford it! ]=) I am not sure if I am “biting the hand that feeds me” a new expansion but dont get me wrong this is not a flame, just constructive thoughts that I think would dramatically improove my personal gameplay and sense of accomplishment in it. Especially at the end of Dungeons and more epic group quests where you really have to fight. Can YOU imagine watching a video of you and your party cutting down the last boss you just struggled to wipe out? I think so! Thank you for reading. If anyone knows of any IN-GAME cinematics that dont include the log in page, please let me know. I do know of one in Sunwell that is clickable, but this is not waht i would consider an achievement cinematic. It is more of an overview of the area.

Nature’s Reach

Sounds rather dangerous to me, since it wold not only be the increased threat because of the lack of reduction, but also the possibly increased damage. Guess you could try now without actually moving points. If you could maintain your current maximum dps while staying reliably below 100 threat, it should be fine. If you have to hold back because of getting too close to the tank’s threat, you haven’t gained anything. I’d say it depends entirely on how well you’re doing now. If you just started heroics or raiding and never find yourself anywhere near the tank’s threat, you could probably go for it. Eventually you should reach the point though where canceling a cast will cost you more than the extra damage you could have gotten from moving those 2 points elsewhere. Ok I’ve been mulling this over lately and I haven’t really come to a conclusion on it at all. It seems now in wrath tanks are just threat machines and having a reduction in threat may not now be totally necessary leaving a possible loss of 2 talent points that could be allocated else where. Now before you go on and say anything about the extra 6 yard range it gives you remember that so far in wrath I haven’t had a lot of time to raid, just grind out heroics like mad, and I’ve yet to see any heroic that you need to stand back as far as you can. It all ultimately boils down to this. Is it possible now to not have to pick up nature’s reach and put your talents else where like perhaps Nature’s Splendor or say Imp MF? It seems that this could ultimately give you an extra cast in your rotations before having to refresh your dots and also give a 5 increase in crit and MF damage. Mind you this all speculative riff raff I toss around in my brain, so it perhaps may be completely illogical.- Arex ~ Druid ? Ciant ~ Paladin

Question from an old tree wanting fresh fun

It’ll depend on how much DPS you want to do. I took 5 points from Feral Aggression and added them to Shedding Attacks and King of the Jungle in order to make kitty spec viable. By viable, I mean I can generally compete with the lesser DPS in a raid. The spec is mostly useful for DPSing heriocs and other badge runs when we have an abundance of tanks and heals. Remembering back to a post in the ‘Bored Druid Thread’ I think Maz also has run with a similar build, though I won’t put words in his mouth. I don’t think I’ve heard of a feral both tanking and DPSing well on progression content in the same build. However I’ve been known to miss stuff too. -NO. You will NOT break the $& shackle! – Jilea that monster in the mirror, he just might be you. – Grover As far as I know, you can OT (read: tank L82 adds, not swap tanks on Northrend Beasts) in a dps spec with tank gear. You get the crit immunity in the dps spec and can survive well enough. You’ll be missing the heavy duty talents like Protector of the Pack and Natural Reaction, but those are hardly necessary for something that isn’t hitting like a raidboss. I just run a full tank and dps spec, myself. Someday I’ll make another druid to do boomkin and tree again. -Norellicus – FFXI Ranawaran – WoWDear All. I thought I would shape-shift out of treeform for a while and try something new but have hit a little dilemma and would greatly appreciate some help. The short story – is there a viable hybrid kitty/bear spec that can give me reasonable dps/tanking dependent on just changing gear? My feeling is that this is no longer possible… The longer story – I am MH in the guild and greatly enjoying the role in progression content but have become disillusioned and not really required to help out with healing on heroics/Uld and Naxx-10 mans etc for undergeared people (we need to give new healers experience etc.). The problem is that I am often needed to make up numbers. Sometimes as a OT bear and sometimes as kitty melee DPS and three specs don’t fit into two… or do they? I’m currently off-spec’d out-and-out bear.

Feral tank professions.

I think mining is a bit more profitable than skinning, if you don’t mind farming a lot. Skinning comes with instances and doing quests while mining requires you to actively look for the veins (unless you happen to stumble across a dozen veins while doing your dailies). I’d not suggest mining over skinning, though. Arctic Fur still sells for a bit on Kazzak and the only way I’m really making money with mining these days is buying the materials for Titansteel Bars and making those once every 20 hours. Not very profitable, though as the Titansteel bars sell for 120-130g and the materials cost 20-30g. As for Lifeblood, it does scale with health, but poorly. At 42,000 health on my Druid, I get about 1k extra health from it or so. I’d still keep herbalism, though. Frost Lotus still sell pretty well and a 3-4k heal every few minutes fits in nicely with the Barkskin cooldown, by the way. The min/maxer would tell you to cycle through the professions while applying the various bonuses to your gear, and then go mining for the health bonus, and either skinning for more threat, or herbalism for the heal. I think. I went with alchemy for the increase in potion effects and herbalism because I’m too lazy to log on alts to farm. Lifeblood is pretty nice when used with Barkskin and Natural Instincts. Has enabled me to solo the remainder of many a heroic boss. -We’re the descendants, salute the descendants, of King Canute. – Nephew Mazrah – Troll ShamanI currently have skinning and herbalism so a few questions. 1: Does anyone know how the scaling with health works for Lifeblood? 2: what to get instead of skinning? (Note: I already have leatherworking, jewelcrafting, enchanting, tailoring, alchemy and in the process of getting inscription) 3: Is Lifeblood actually any good or should I dump herbalism for something as well? And if so, what?- God Emperor of Hunters and Priest Forum Mean Person. When not fighting(afk, cities, etc), pet options?

If tell your pet to stay in one place and then leave walk a little ways away it will dismiss itself, and you can resummon it with ‘Call Pet’. That’s what I usually do, as I don’t want to have to keep feeding it while I wander around town.-Convict 24601 Steff wrote:??ou were taught that sex is the most degrading, depraved, disgusting, disturbing, nasty, noxious, filthy, foul, venal, evil, sinful and just plain wrong thing in this plane of existence, and you should only share it with the person you love most???’ve read as many FAQs and posts as I could find, and still have this question. Having found my first pet(level 10), his loyalty is still low but growing. I understand feeding him(keeping him happy) and keeping him in battle increases his loyalty. But being so new to the game, I still have a lot of wandering around to do, people to speak with(friends and npcs), and I’m just now getting into looking at the auction houses. What is the best way to my pet so I can go do some non-combat related exploration? Should I pony up the money and buy a stable space and put him in there while I spend time at the auction house? Should I him via the pet menu? What are the of versus using a stable during downtime? I’ve read going afk with a pet isn’t a great choice loyalty-wise, so I am looking for the best alternative for playing the game at my own pace at times, not having to worry about kitty getting ticked off every 10 minutes, or having to shell out money for his constant hunger. At this early point in the game, I don’t want to even log in to play, knowing that my pet will be there waiting for his next meal(money is tough to come by at this early stage). Thanks for your time, and patience, with this newb old is new again

Bloodfalcon

My only thing was, why is a 62 hunter saying this, or maybe he just has enough time to have more than one hunter-Wheels Darigraz to North wrote:I is not liking this idea of stepping in offices, the office of you is sounds like a Hottopic where all the transvestite makeup men hangs out and talks about havings sex with they fall out boy. do hunters

No. He was an idiot. He must have thought that just because it was blue it was an upgrade. That is definitely something that should go to a druid. If a hunter need rolled need on that when a druid rolled need as well, I’d never group with him again.-Ayrianna 80 Nightelf Hunter – Queen of Typos Sylverra 69 Human Warlock Stormscale Server levaks wrote:And you Ayrianna you are the tupical noob hunter that everyone hates in BGs..the hunter that do arena just to get the axe.. However, consider: Armor – hunters pet gets bonus from armor, meaning even though the hunters at a range, the more armor he has the more armor his melee pet has. Stamina – again, pet gets the bonus here. And more health is something any class can use, in this case its so if aimed shot crits he can survive long enough to lose aggro. Spirit – without mana a hunter would be reduced to auto-shot, which is still pretty powerful but imagine a rogue/warrior who just used autoattack? Spirit helps get mana back quicker for more shots. Strength – while hunters shouldn’t melee, at lower levels with inexperienced tanks they probably will wind up meleeing a lot. Not to mention half of them are idiots who think they’re rogues =P. While I would go for something with +agility or +attack power, then intellect or stamina, these gloves arent really all that bad for hunters.-comma long-slash comma comma asterick underscore asterick comma comma long-slash commajust out of curiosity. is naga battle gloves of any benefit to a hunter? -In gnomergron, I never get tired of watching gnomes fly _

What gear for twink 19 hunter

That’s mine, and I’m probally one of the best twinked hunters on my server. Missing two enchants, the +15 agil to gloves and +12 stm to bracers. I’ll get those after I get riding skills and mount for my main. I also use Rough Arrows with my Bow[/wowitem] and I use Heavy Shot with my Timmy’s though I believe there is engineering bullets that give a bit more DPS useable by lvl 19 players. Haven’t looked in to that though. And do expect to shed alot of gold on this. With enchants and buying the gear that I could from AH I spent probally about 400G so far. And for the last two enchants probally looking at another 50G-100G depending on who offering it on my server. Edited, Mar 8th 2007 12:08pm by madslane Edited, Mar 8th 2007 12:09pm by madslaneNo, low lvl sets stink. Shoulders – go for the reward that’s +3 sta on that WC quest. Don’t remember name, but you can look it up here. It’s probably cloth, but go for the +3 sta, do know that much…Its better to just mix the gear and get the best possible. Then you’ll start putting enchants so it doesnt really matter Just a question wouldnt it be better to go with a set for the bonus it adds? I just thought the defias set was more for rogues and the fang set looks more to be for hunters. I just started prepin my twink hunter for pvp so im not totally familiarized yet with the best equip.
